Camp $tart-Up Staff

Camp $tart-Up at the Johnson School is being organized by four women business school students with a combined 20 years of experience in consulting, education, marketing, sales, human resources, and strategic planning. Our student team is working under the guidance of the director of the Office of Women and Minorities in Business, Angela Noble-Grange.

The four MBA student organizers will also serve as camp counselors, working closely with the young women campers as they create and present their business plans. The counselors will live in the dorms with the campers and supervise their activities 24 hours a day with the help of our Camp Director. Additional counselors may include graduate or undergraduate business students.

Visiting faculty also participate in camp activities and include Johnson School and Cornell University faculty, women business owners from the Ithaca community, Johnson School alumnae serving as business plan coaches, and other visiting entrepreneurs. If you are interested in volunteering as a guest faculty member, contact the Camp $tart-Up team at campstartup@cornell.edu.

  Camp Accommodations

Ivy League Dorms - Dormitory life is a central aspect of the camp experience. Campers will experience Ivy League dormitories on one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. Girls will stay in single or double rooms (assigned by counselors) in suites with shared baths. The common area in each dorm is a cozy gathering place for evening sessions and relaxation. Staff will stay in the dormitories with the campers at all times. Meals are served in various dining halls on campus.

Sage Hall - Day sessions will be held in the recently renovated Sage Hall in the center of the university. Sage Hall combines 19th-century classical architecture with state-of-the-art facilities and provides an inspiring and energizing place to work, network, and learn.
